Why should you use VIP Limousine?

At VIP Limousine, we are committed to giving our clients VIP treatment every step of the way. The most significant–and important–part of that commitment is to ensure your safety at all times while traveling with us. First and foremost, we look to make sure that everything with each journey goes right. However, if something does go wrong, we want to make sure that everybody is protected. In order to do this, we not only train our chauffeurs to drive professionally and safely, but also take a myriad of precautions with our vehicle safety.

It’s our policy to regularly inspect each of our vehicles, from our Chrysler 300C all the way up to our white Hummer H2 stretch limousine. We do this to stay in compliance with regulations, but our primary motivation for carrying out these inspections is for you.

Every time a vehicle leaves our warehouse, it undergoes the equivalent of a pre-flight check for problems and other abnormalities. This includes everything from the functionality of windshield washer nozzles to the headlights, from the seats to the brakes. Our professionally-trained mechanic also performs regular inspections on the drivetrain and electrical systems, replacing or updating parts sooner than required to ensure maximum safety.

At the heart of each of our vehicles, though, is a manufactured car or SUV which came from a factory. Because of this, we also pay careful attention to any guidelines and notices from these manufacturers. If something comes up beyond our control, including recalls, we address it immediately, because we will not compromise on the safety of our clients and our drivers. In the worst case scenarios, we substitute an upgraded vehicle which meets public as well as internal standards for safety.

Why do we mention this? An analysis of competition, plus investigative reporting, reveals what clients need to know when they take a ground transportation vehicle of any sort to any destination. All of the vehicles in our fleet are chosen with their safety in mind, including the government- and independently-tested crash tests. Each one of our vehicles passes these tests and exceeds the minimum safety standards required.

At VIP Limousine, we understand that the transportation industry is changing. However, we refuse to compromise on the standards of safety for our clients, because passengers are the most precious cargo of them all. Whether you are in a sedan, SUV, Sprinter limo, or a stretch, you deserve to know that your entire journey will be a safe one.

Testimonial Tuesday: Saving the Prom

#testimonialtuesday: "I was scrambling to find a limousine 3 days before prom, and after calling around, booked with another limo company because they were a tad cheaper…big mistake! The day before the prom, the company called us and said their limo needed repair, and they would call me back in an hour to find another vehicle to accommodate us and never did. I called @viplimousine801, and they 'saved the day!' They booked a limousine for the group, and were more than accommodating when I changed the pick up time (2 times) because the 'kids' plans kept changing. The driver was extremely friendly and professional. He was great to the kids, and helped make their prom night a memorable one. I would definitely use #viplimousine again." -Cynthia #slclimo #slclimousine #utahlimo #utahlimousine #limousine #prom

Our New Journey with Antique Limo of Utah

Today, the team at VIP Limousine stepped back in time to 1936, the year of manufacture of Antique Limo of Utah’s beautiful Cadillac Fleetwood sedan. This machine is truly stunning inside and out! Operated by Bill and Brianna Platt, this company provides a truly unique service in northern Utah.

The owner, Bill, bought the vehicle and rebuilt it from the inside out, maintaining the image and feel of the decade. On the outside, it is standard classic Cadillac. It starts with the gleaming hood ornament atop the old-fashioned side-opening hood: outfitted with the original Fleetwood badging, it opens to reveal the throaty, beating heart of an engine, rebuilt to modern standards but keeping the traditional sound. Pearl white paint, shiny chrome, and radial whitewalls complete the exterior look with the original Cadillac wheels.

Then, Bill and Brianna revealed the real magic to us all inside the Fleetwood by opening the heavy suicide doors. This interior was unlike anything we had ever been in. The car has the original dashboard with the enormous gauges, simple controls, and polished wood veneer from edge to edge. The seats, door panels, and headliner are all in a posh deep red velvet which exudes luxury, especially when on the cushy, spring-loaded seats. The original door handles, window winders, interior lights and switches, and the wood veneer around the window frames were simply exquisite details.

Bill then took the time to show us the party pieces of the Fleetwood, which were custom-fitted: twin televisions behind a locking panel, and then below those behind another door were the head unit for the stereo and DVD player, coupled with champagne flutes and a bucket for ice. Few things are more indicative of luxury than hidden items for enrichment of the traveling experience.

Bill and Brianna then offered to take us for a ride. Now THAT was a treat. The glorious old engine roared to life, with Bill vigorously turning the large original steering wheel to maneuver us out of the parking lot…while explaining that the vehicle does not have power steering, making it a driving gymnasium. We were astonished by how easily it drove, too! It had no trouble keeping up with the traffic in Salt Lake, even passing a few other cars with ease. But you don’t normally drive a classic like that; we took the time to meander and simply cruise.

Combined with the cushy seats, great legroom, and the original suspension, we simply floated down the road. Bumps, undulations, and potholes didn’t upset the Fleetwood’s composure in any way, nor did we particularly notice them either. As Bill pumped through some light 1930s music, Brianna further set the mood by providing us with small brochures explaining some of the vehicle history and specifications from 1936, but this also included some cultural statistics and information from that year regarding costs of living and hit music. It was a seriously cool touch to an already unforgettable ride.

As chauffeurs, we’re not used to actually being driven ourselves, but we’re extremely grateful to Antique Limo of Utah for this cool experience. There’s nothing like a classy ride with presence, and this company definitely provides that experience! Bill and Brianna were great to us, and we immensely appreciated their time.

At VIP Limousine, we love developing relationships with other local companies inside and outside of the transportation industry. Not only do we eat at local restaurants, such as the El Paisa Grill where we met with them today, but we also love to experience what a local business such as Antique Limo of Utah can provide. With a beautiful vehicle and a unique product, we look forward to developing and continuing a relationship with our new friends in the limo business!
